How The Mexican Soccer Has Progressed

The Mexico is located to the north of America and soccer is one of the popular sports of the Mexico. Soccer in Mexico is playing since 1920s as professional sports. The Mexican football association was establish in 1927 and it become a part of FIFA in 1929 as well join the CONCACF in 1961. The Mexican national soccer team is on 16th position recently in FIFA world rankings. The captain of the Mexican soccer team is Rafael Marquez and the head coach of the team is Jesus Ramirez. The Mexico has an honor to host FIFA world cup final twice, once in 1970 and second in 1986. The Mexican national soccer team came twice runner up at Copa America. They won the 2005 FIFA U-17 world championship, which were held in Peru. Beside this they were able to reach the world cups quarter finals twice. As Mexico hosted the world cup in their stadium and it every stadium hold some history of the world cup. The one of the famous stadium Estadio Aztecha is located in Tlalpan in Mexico City. The Estadio Aztecha is the stadium where 1970 and 1986 world cup final held. Again the same stadium where summer Olympics of 1968 held and it is third largest football stadium in the world. Beside this there are other stadiums in Mexico that also hold history of big events.

The Mexican soccer is played according to the two seasons they don’t play long season. They used to call season by the name of summer or winter that later changed by the federation. Now they use term opening and closing for the season events. The opening division started in the mid summer of Mexico and it come to end when winter near to start. On the other hand it closing division take place in the New Year and it over in the spring season. The Mexican soccer is based on the four divisions. After every season the promotion and relegation take place. The team of every division that performs well promoted to the highest division. On the other hand the team of any division hasn’t show good performance has to face relegation. The decision of the promotional and relegation is done by the association.

The Mexican team saw ups and down which later on improved. The Mexican were able to qualified for thirteen times for world cup continuously from 1994. Beside this Mexican won the one FIFA federation world cup, four time CONCACAF gold cup and three CONCACAF championships. They have also won the three pan am game gold medals and three NAFAC championships too. The uniform of the Mexico nation soccer team is the green, white and red and alternated jersey colors are green and white. The nickname of the Mexican team is eltri. The Mexican were lost the final of CONCACF gold cup in 2007 but they comeback strongly in CONMBEL Copa America 2007. They were able to reached the semifinal but unfortunately they were beat by Argentina 0-3. The Mexican soccer team came third in this competition by defeating the Uruguay 3-1.
