How to Play Tennis Game?

How To Play Tennis?
The tennis playing community will soon find you snug with it, no matter how shy you are or how unassuming you are. The best way to really start learning how to play tennis is to go out to the tennis court with the instructor or a friend who already knows basics about the game and can explain you some tips. Here are some points which would give you some idea about how to play this game.

Basic five things required are: access to court, a tennis racket, tennis shoes, a can of tennis balls and an opponent like you. An average tennis court is one with few different lines on it and the net goes across the very middle of the court. The service lines are those which are closest parallel to the net. The parallel line furthest to the net are called baseline. The two long strips perpendicular to the net on the court at either sides is called alleys. The difference between singles match and doubles’ is that if the ball bounces in the alleys then it is considered ‘out’ in singles tennis where as it is considered ‘in’ according to the rules of the doubles tennis on either sides of the court.

The game starts when one player serves to the other one, the player who serves starts behind the baseline on the right hand side of the court {his right side} and he is supposed to hit the ball into the service box on the other side. The area of the service box is between the alley and the middle of the court, between service line and the net. If the ball is bounced in that service box then it is considered to be a good serve. If the server misses that box than that serve is called as fault and the server gets one more chance to correct its serve.

Even then, he misses the box then that point is awarded to the opponent player. If the server serves in the right area then the opponent player must return the ball directly over the net before it is bounced and can also return when ball is bounced once but it could not bounce more than once otherwise the point will be awarded to the server. The person returning is required to hit the ball over the net and it can bounce anywhere on the servers side but it should not be forgotten that alleys are considered as out in case of singles’ tennis.

A player wins a game by winning at least four points and win by the margin of two and the next game is served by the other person, and like this the serves are changed game by game. Generally to win a set a player must win at least six games and should be two more than his opponent. Match is made up of five sets and the player, who wins the first three sets, wins the match. These were only the basic of how to play tennis. If you really want t learn then go out with your friends into the court and play with someone who already knows how to.
