The Anna kournikova is famous former Russian tennis player because of her excellent performance in tennis. Beside this she also affiliated with the modeling field too. She is popular particularly as tennis player all over the world. The Anna kournikova was born on 7 June 1981 in Moscow in the former Soviet Union. The Anna kournikova is only child of their parents and her early education that she received in Russian high school and she completed her gradation in 1997. After completing her graduation she joined physical culture Russian university. She belongs to the family in which the income is limited but still she was able to get coach of tennis. Her first coach was Larissa Preobraschenskaja and she gets her coaching from 1985 till 1989. Under his coaching she was able to reached junior competitions from there her career take off toward the success and more achievements.
 
 The career of Anna kournikova begins at the age of 13 or 14 when she participated in international junior tennis and become an up coming star because she has won many tournaments such as Italian open of 1995. Due to her talent and hardworking she make her debut in professional tennis when she was 14 years old and she participate in Fed Cup for Russia. The Anna kournikova was the youngest player of that tournament that she won. Slowly and gradually she progress even reached the 1997 Wimbledon semifinal at the age of 16. Unfortunately she lost against the top tennis player Martina Hingis by the score of 6-3, 6-2. The glorious year of Anna kournikova career was 1998 when was able to make her position in WTA in top 20 ranking. This is not only achievement of her but she was able to defeat the top-ranking tennis player such as Martina Hingis, Lindsay Davenport and Steffi Graf. In the term of tennis the Anna kournikova as player she has foot speed and aggressive baseline play. She was also good in her angles and drop shorts. She was not considered best in single games although she was ranked 8 in the world in 2000. On the other hand she was too good in double games that she was no 1 in the world. Her best performance in double games with her partner Martina Hingis was grand slam title in Australia, which she won. She has won this title two times in 1999 and 2000. After seeing her best performances in double she was start comparing with the double specialists such as Pam Shriver and Peter Fleming.

The Anna kournikova when it peaks of success her back injuries cause her lot and her ranking also get effect with the passage of time. Her last wining tournament was in January 2004 after that she takes the retirement from professional tennis in March 2004. As a model or actress she also got fame and success.
